What are the normal thresholds for Physics?

There is weightage for each paper!
For physics, Paper 6 = 20% , it is out of 40, so converted to 20
Paper 3 = 50%, it is out of 80, so converted to 50
Paper 1 = 30%, it is out of 40, so converted to 30
The total is now 100, so multiplied by 2, so that it become 200 as mentioned in threshold

(OR just multiply the sum of marks obtained by 1.25, many ways actually :p)

I hope it helped
Ahh I see! Thanks! :)

I am not sure about the 160 thing, but in grade boundaries they say that the total mark for this syllabus is out of 200. But if an A* is only dropping 10 marks, we are screwed! x.x

Talal, you should get something around 150 or 145 in order to get an A*. THAT IS THE MINIMUM MARK! :D
Dayum. I'm not sure now. My 32 wasn't as great as I'd hoped. :(

The physics 32 was kind of tough. What are the minimum marks i need in total to get an A* if I'm giving papers 12, 32 and 62?
Thanks!

This paper was really very easy. All eleven questions were easy except for the Question which involved oesterds experiment

now they put percentage on your statement of results the hard copy but ut wouldnt say 75% it would say 90%
Thanks
so if I got 180/200 thats 90 percent and 150 is the boundary for an A*
so what would the percentile on the statement of results be?

But for 2012, i think, the threshold was 151. So that means 151/160 right? Considering i'm doing p12, 32 and 62.
if that's the case then i'm sure i can't get an A*.
:(
The A* never exceeded the 150!! I meant 151/200 :) The A is 126/200 and the A* is 146/200, and in your previous post you said "135/160" and they multiply ur 135 by 1.25 which equals 167/200, so why can't you get A*
Hope you understand!! :)

But why are you counting the total as 200? Shouldn't it be 160? 80+40+40?

read the gt carefully, it says the total is 200, actually the multiply the 160 by 1.25 to get that 200 ;)
