Orientation day is the day where students usually get introduced to the school, shown their lockers, given the rules, etc. and you generally don't have to bring anything/wear school uniform as it's not an actual school day.

I don't think you'd be given anything on orientation day, but you could bring your bag just in case if you're still unsure.

Which school did you get into? an A level school?

You don't bring any books or bags, but I think you have to wear uniform (confirm it from your school). A student orientation is just an event that takes place at the beginning of the year to introduce them to the school, show them classrooms, etc.
