There are supposed to be 270 total marks across the 5 papers (40+60+40+100+40), but in all the GTs (e.g. http://papers.xtremepapers.com/CIE/...A and AS Level/Physics (9702)/9702_w12_gt.pdf), it says that

The maximum total mark for this syllabus is 260 for A Level and 130 for AS Level.
