pride..where does it take u???

Assalamu-alaikum..
Today..am nt gonna make a really huge thread...bt its just a small reminder..about pride..and how it disturbs our iman..and if at extreme..may even kill us..so the answer to the title..where pride takes us is..it takes us directly to hell..kinda shortcut to hell..and shaytan..whoa man..always at his greatest mission..making ppl more proud..cz pride, if u notice..leads to all the great sins..well i wanna share these few lines about pride..
The man who built the Titanic was asked, How safe would the Titanic be? With an Ironic Tone he said: "NOT EVEN GOD CAN SINK IT" & we all know what happened to the Titanic..
Tancredo Neves President of Brazil. During a campaign, he said he got 500,000 votes for his party, Not even God would remove him from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he got sick & died a day before being made President..
Cazuza Brazilian singer & poet. During a show, while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air & said: "God that's for u". He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible manner..
Allah SWT says in the holy Qur'an "Do not walk proudly on the earth: your feet cannot cleave the earth nor are you as tall as the mountains". Surah Isra (17:37)
all of us shd keep mind that whatever we have right now is not truely ours..and can be taken frm us any time..so be afaraid of being proud over anything..if u dont wanna lose it..

MashAllah. Excellent (y) Yes, sure pride is a very disturbing characteristic nowadays.

May Allah make us of the humble, humiliated sect who are grateful to Him of everything He has provided us with. May we accept the fact that our success and failure lies only in Allah's Hands, and that whatever He Wills would always be for our good. Aameen.

its true pride is a great sin..infact if we go deeper into this..wasn't pride the first sin..by shytan..when he refused to prostrate to Adam (A.S)..cz he was proud over what he was..and then..what next??got kicked out of heaven..lost such a great gift..Paradise..Jannah..jst cz of pride..we surely need to stay away from this pride..and ofcourse shaytan..who gave rise to it..
