What did u get? Sth very low? What was the % purity in second question?
Titres will vary bcoz we used diff amounts of acid, and diff masses of CaCO3. So it's not of much use.Can everyone write down their Titre values!
No it does matter...there's a specific range for every center I guess. Whet was your mass?Titres will vary bcoz we used diff amounts of acid, and diff masses of CaCO3. So it's not of much use.
Rather tell me % purity for Q2.
I dont remember mass. titre was 24.30 I guess. No it does matter...there's a specific range for every center I guess. Whet was your mass?
Yeah i got a very low value, i got something around 4% i guess. I don't know whether it was actually the case or i messed up in this question. What did u get? Sth very low?
What improvements did you suggest and which procedure did you favour in Q 2?For Ques1: I got titre value 23.3 and mass was 2.51g. I got Percentage 83.6%
For Ques2: I got the value of mass 2.o1g and Percentage was 96.5%. I think I messed up with ths one.
As far as i remember, they had mentioned "Both FB5 and FB1 are from the same limestone", or something similar, right before asking which method is less accurate. How can % purities be so different? Many here got values like 0.5% - 1%. BTW, did u ensure that the flame was blue? CaCO3 has a very high decomposition temperature of about 800 degrees u know.Yeah i got a very low value, i got something around 4% i guess. I don't know whether it was actually the case or i messed up in this question.
What's yours?
The loss in mass was low, some people i know even got like 2%. My loss in mass was o.o6 i guess. As far as i remember, they had mentioned "Both FB5 and FB1 are from the same limestone", or something similar, right before asking which method is less accurate. Yeah , mine was 0.04 g loss in mass , and i got 4% .The loss in mass was low, some people i know even got like 2%. My loss in mass was o.o6 i guess.
I got tire 20.5 , and the supervisor got 21.5 .What were the masses in Q 1 and Q 2?
And titrate value also depends on the volume of HCl taken in the first step, so the range would be 25-30 i guess.
4.48 % .Yeah i got a very low value, i got something around 4% i guess. I don't know whether it was actually the case or i messed up in this question.
What's yours?
same here .in q2 i was hardly getting any loss of mass
