    C4 today...Summer 2013

That isn't going to get you two marks unless it's a typo; the range was 0<= f(x) <= 2. I did.

If you are correct, I am going to be so glad I stuck to that whim. I got (-3, 6) using that method too. If that deems true I think I may've got 100% percent on this! Regarding the lambdas, I got -3 and -7. Can't remember the Coords though.

    C4 today...Summer 2013

Thought it was a very good exam overall! I think I only messed up 7, part b which I tried dx/dy = 0 instead of dy/dx = 0. Oh well.

    Statistics 2 - Edexcel Maths

Darn, that's some pretty darn good memory! I honestly can't remember most of the 4sf Probability answers at all, but let's see. I definitely recall getting that answer on 1b. 2a -> 3a look pretty familiar too! For 3b I got 13, not 12, but I think I may've slipped up on that question. I...

    Statistics 2 - Edexcel Maths

I thought it was quite decent too. I originally got frustrated with 1c so much that I wasted 20 minutes of the exam stumbling on that question. I decided to leave it to the end, and eventually fixed it such that my probabilities added up to 1. Did you perhaps forget the (1,2,5) * 6 combination...

Did anyone take this exam today? How did you find it?

    M1 mechanics edexcel modular exam

Perpendicular means only that the Reaction force splits the angle (90 degrees in two). Equating the two components of tension, which share an equal angle simplifies to 2 * T * Cos45 as you resolve with equal tension due to the modelling assumptions made .

I got AX as 7.5m too.

    M1 mechanics edexcel modular exam

I only remember the latter parts: c) and d) being worth 6 marks. I can't remember how many marks the entire question was worth.

    M1 today

I'd hope you wouldn't, if it's very clearly labelled then I doubt you'd lose the mark. I drew both a diagram and drafted a quick explanation just to ensure I'd get it.

    M1 mechanics edexcel modular exam

I'm unsure, it was 4 marks so maybe 1 mark for the method, and possibly another mark for stating the correct direction that it was acting in.

    M1 today

I got those same answers on the Vectors question.

    M1 mechanics edexcel modular exam

The last question's answer was something like ~ 16.something * m Newtons. I can't remember it exactly, but it involved drawing on the Reaction force of the Pulley; as the two components of Tension acted perpendicularly, the Reaction would be at 45 degrees. I was a bit wary that they didn't warn...

    M1 mechanics edexcel modular exam

I personally think I only messed up the Motorcycle question, due to a few errors when I tried to work out the time. So maybe I got a combined 1-2/6 of the marks for my working out. Otherwise I think I found the rest of the paper relatively okay -- I actually liked the moments question, as well...
