I thought it was quite decent too. I originally got frustrated with 1c so much that I wasted 20 minutes of the exam stumbling on that question. I decided to leave it to the end, and eventually fixed it such that my probabilities added up to 1. Did you perhaps forget the (1,2,5) * 6 combination? I originally did that.

I will see what I can remember.

1) a) I listed all the permutations. b) I can't remember c) 1 had the value of "0.5", 2 and 5 I forget.

For the questions asking VAR(3-2X) I got 3b^2 I think.
For the question asking for a/b I got a = -3/5 and b = 1.5
I found both of my Hypothesis tests to yield insignificant results henceforth I rejected H1 on both.
I found on the last (or possibly penultimate) question that n would be 29.

That's all I remember but I will edit this message when I remember of more.

Do you by chance remember what the answer was for n (in the Poisson question)? I think that may be the only part of one question I screwed up.

Darn, that's some pretty darn good memory!

I honestly can't remember most of the 4sf Probability answers at all, but let's see.

I definitely recall getting that answer on 1b. 2a -> 3a look pretty familiar too! For 3b I got 13, not 12, but I think I may've slipped up on that question. I agree with all of the rest except for n =3. I got n = 29 (or maybe it was n=26, damn memory) but it definitely wasn't 3. I did 1 - P(X=0) < 0.05 I think, or something along those lines.

Yeah I think I screwed up n=3 I wasn't too sure about that, and as much as I'd like to think it was all from memory I kinda smuggled answers out from the exam....
