    the second ones right in my opinion - in the site i got this info from, they added this amount to 2 cm depth of protein sample, and they used 10% KOH solution. We probably wont be given this concentration anyway in the exam - at least in our school we are given 5% KOH. So I'd go for the 2nd option!

    I'm worried about the labeling bit as well, especially when we have to label xylem and phloem and cortex and pith and what not :P These sites have really good labelled slides, you could check them out. Theres some extra stuff here though, just look at the ones with xylem and phloem in them...

    1. As far as I know, we put the solution with the bendicts reagent in a water bath already at 100 degrees. 2. I usually keep it around 4-5 minutes. Sometimes it takes even less time. In general, if no color change appears after 5-6 mins, it probably has no sugar. 3. 5drops of CuSo4, 10...

    awesome notes! but in the the formula to find resultant force, why is it R^2 = F1^2 + F2^2 + 2F1F2Cos theta? we're basically using the cosine rule so shouldnt it be R^2 = F1^2 + F2^2 - 2F1F2Cos theta?
