    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

1123 English is as Second Language. Although they don't mention it on the component title. First Language English includes dialouges and drama scripts, aswell as oral assessment. (Not speaking of English Literature, that's further advanced.)

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

Thinking about it with the little information you have provided, it sounds a little absurd. However, I'm sure you connected it well while writing it down? As for the topic that you forgot to mention, did you atleast mention the option number? If not, there's a huge chance that the examiner would...

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

Thankyou Mahnoor Ahmad. Although I didn't mention a title in section one, I fail to imagine how much that'd cost me now. *facepalm* Let's nail it tomorrow!

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

As Mahnoor has mentioned earlier, I suppose that's exactly why they wanted us to make it lively and, metaphorically, colorful.

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

We have been discussing English as Second Language.

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

My first piece was seemingly interesting, atleast to me. (I hope the examiners have a tad bit sense of cultural humour!) Good luck with your exam tomorrow. :)

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

Not too much, maybe 15 words in the first, and 30 (at most!) in the second piece?
  8. Shizza Jalil

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

That was a rough idea by myself, I'm sure you've done well in the previous paper. We tend to exaggerate our mistakes. As for the one tomorrow, good luck, love! (:

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

Thankyou, Mahnoor. And yes, I do recall now, it was 350-500. Oh and, the title's just fine. As for the word count, not once in the question paper or the instuctions did they mention anything about the word count. I didn't quote it either, hopefully that should be okay. (:

Disqualification is highly unlikely. They set the word limit so that a general idea can be put forward for the students to act upon. Although it's best to abide by their so-called 'advise'.
  11. Shizza Jalil

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

I thought you just said that you were speaking of the first question. Having said that, it seems you completed your story, just not as great an ending as you wanted to give it. Believe me, that won't be a problem. Keep calm. :D

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

As far as I remember, this time they advised us to write between 400-500 words, right? (Correct me if I'm wrong, please.) Now, if you've written around 300, your marks would really depend on the content of your written piece. Did you use correct grammar, language, sentence-structure? As we see...

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

What's done is done, did you just miss the ending line's'? Had you already included the 3 clauses that were given? If so, I don't think they should deduct more than 4-5 marks, max.
  14. Shizza Jalil

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

Well, that really depends on what you mean by 'not ending a story properly', is it that you ran out of time and didn't write an ending (leaving the story incomplete, that is?) or is it that you feel your ending to the story wasn't all that great?
  15. Shizza Jalil

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

Oh, that feeling. Well, I'm sure it wasn't that bad. I did a lot of cutting in the second question, don't think the examiners mind though, especially when we don't have the time to write a rough draft. Cheer up, hun!
  16. Shizza Jalil

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

Rockerfeller That depends on the degree of sh*t in your first paper, was it really that bad or what?
  17. Shizza Jalil

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

Nadaa. Didn't write any names for the author!

    English (1123) : How'd it go guys? :)

Don't worry, Sibtul Hassan Virk, I just realized I didn't write any title for the first part. Haha, nervousness messes up the papers. Nevertheless, we'll all achieve good grades, lets keep our hopes up high!

Nouman1997 If you read my last comment again, perhaps you'd come to know that the comment was far more factual than emotional. The results for a polling station in Lahore were divided through the time. The total period for casting votes in that specific station was 10 hours, now dividing the...
