Chemistry p41: How'd it go peeps?

http://www.docbrown.info/page07/ASA2group7a.htm This website calls them displacements, and they occur in order of reactivity. And F>Cl in terms of reactivity, right?

I called it displacement :( Did you get the same reaction? And what about the aluminium? I didn't get anything like that on mine

^ I'm sorry but I coincide only with the fact that it was a displacement reaction?

    F2O Like water, v-shaped

Yet another q, is heat enough for cracking? Or does it need pressure?

BTW for the third structure of C3Hx, some people drew cyclic propane. Do you think they'd give me the mark for drawing 2 double bonds? as in CH2=C=CH2?

I think Hydrogen bonding, because it is stronger, always makes stuff more compact?

Chemistry p41: How'd it go peeps?

Yeah that's right too. I think as long as you mention: solubility, compactness and m.p./b.p. due to more hydrogen bonds, I think you're fine. Ahh the examiner will smile when he/she reads my crossing out of fractional distillation What other qs were there which were weird?

Chemistry p41: How'd it go peeps?

I actually wrote fractional distillation BUT I changed it because they were not liquids? Can't remember the Ksp, I remember something like 6.25 x 10 ^-5 or something like that? And I said that it was more soluble as the -NH2 can form more Hydrogen bonds with water.

I think it gave less CO_2 because it had a lower carbon composition? I mean, coal is basically carbon and the other fuel has long hydrocarbon chain. For removal, I said you could pass it over an alkaline solution and (don't ask me why) due to their different condensation points. The second...

Chemistry p41: How'd it go peeps?

24 hours passed. Nice paper, overall :) Only thing I lost a few marks due to silly mistakes. I guessed my way through the last question (or most of it, anyway)

    Have you ever...

Pulled a low A at AS to an A* at A2? (I got 85% at AS chemistry and I want an A*). Or know of someone who did so

I was wondering if any of you had some notes to share on further mechanics, specifically "Rotation of a Rigid Body" and "Equilibrium of a Rigid Body under coplanar forces"! Thanks!

    A level Chemistry HELP

Hey there So I got an 85% in my Chemistry AS. I wish to get an A* at A2 and I have decided not to resit. How manageable is pulling the A to an A* at A2? I was unlucky during my AS and should have got around a 90% IMO (had 6 hours of exam in a day). Has this happened to you before? Share your...

    CIE vs EDEXCEL

Being completely honest, it depends on what papers you're talking about to say CIE's harder than Edexcel. IMO, subjects such as Maths or Chemistry, or most essay subjects (except for perhaps Business Studies and a few more) are much harder with CIE. But I'd say Edexcel is harder for Physics...
