Q.Find the equation of the normal to the curve y=2x^2 + 3x +4 which is perpendicular to the line y=7x-5 Any help?
  15. asadalam

    Lets Get Started

But where is perpendicular stated?Or are we just to assume it?Because the given information is too vague to accurately find the answer. The line from the P point could be cutting the y=3x+7 midpoint at an angle above or below 90,so are we just to assume?

    Football/Soccer anyone?

32 games are left for each team.A season can change due to one game,so its waaay to early to make any assumptions.

    Mathematics: Post your doubts here!

I figured it out till the end too,but where did you get the 2 and -6 from, and how do you work out what inequality sign goes with which? Can you solve on a paper and post a photo?

    Mathematics: Post your doubts here!

2 Find the set of values of k for which the line y = kx − 4 intersects the curve y = x2 − 2x at two distinct points. [4] From s09p1. I get we have to equate the answer and then use the discriminant but after getting 2 and -6 how do you know what each inequality we need to put? Like the answer...
