AS Physics P1 MCQs Preparation Thread.

okay so this is simple for question 10, the rate of change of momentum is the resultant force ( newtons second law) so u find the gradient of the graph so u apply the formula (p1-p2)/(t2-t1) which gives u B. now question 34. The light intensity is increasing. Hence the resistance of the LDR...

You have to draw a tangent to the curve at that point..then you find out the gradient of that tangent which will be the acceleration

yep thats the correct way to do it

The main thing u should notice is that this is a velocity time graph, not the displacement time graph..so displacement is maximum when velocity is zero, so thats poits 5 and 15..acceleration at the point is zero. So the answer is D

This is an inelastic collision but momentum would remain conserved. so the total momentum before collision equals momentum after collision so (3m x v) - (2m x v) (- sign is because they are moving in the opposite direction)= (3m + 2m) vfinal mv=(4m)vfinal hence vfinal=v/4

    Mathematics Expected GT 2012

I can only predict the GTs for p1 and M1..p1 will be 57-59, M1 will be at max 35

    How was Physics paper 34?

    oh?..what did you get?

AS Physics P1 MCQs Preparation Thread.

you have the densities, you have g, the heights are given in each option..use the pressure formula to find the pressure in each option. eg the correct option is C in C depth in liquid X is 15m depth in liquid Y is 10m use the formula pressure= density x h x g so for liquid X, P=800x 15 x...

AS Physics P1 MCQs Preparation Thread.

LOL i just used the formula pressure=density x g x h for both of them in each option and the one in which the pressure was the same for both liquids that was the height. Thats option C

in beta decay, one neutron splits to form a proton and an electron, so the nucleon number is conserved

    How was Physics paper 34?

i got exactly the same :P

    AS Physics P2 GT?

Well there was a lot of discussion on that with a lot of people saying that it does not refer to us..and besides the GT depends on how well the candidates perform..if the difficulty level of the paper is increased, it will cause the GT to be low!
  20. I

    CRICKET anyone?

He does'nt perform with the bat much..but he performs remarkably with the ball and in the field almost every time :D
