    A frequency of 0.5Hz means the time period is, T=1/F, T =1/0.5, T=2s. Since there is 1.5 waves shown on the screen time taken is = 1.5x 2 (period) = 3s

    Actually no that's quite wrong. EMF is the amount of energy converted from non electrical forms to electrical when one coulomb charge passes through the cell. In other words the amount of energy the cell converts from chemical to electrical in driving one unit charge around a circuit...

    CIE Marking???

    Marking is actually the same, but grade thresholds are affected. An easy paper will have a higher percentage required for an A whereas a difficult one will have it lower. It actually depends on the overall result of that session.
