I'm pretty sure it said transpiration :/ cause when I read that word, I automatically thought loss of water & hence stomata

    Biology Paper 1

A said that photosynthesis wasn't taking place at y...would that explain why the graph started to rise at that point :/
  3. S

    Biology Paper 1

But the oxygen but the oxygen concentration wasn't decreasing at y so respiration couldn't be taking pkace
  4. S

    Biology Paper 1

    But y was not respiration
  5. S

    Biology Paper 1

Ugh I've lost two marks already :(
  6. S

    Biology Paper 1

I wrote d cause at x, the amount of oxygen was starting to decrease so respiration was taking place and photosynthesis occurred a y

    Biology Paper 1

    Biology Paper 1

What were the other two choices? It's most definitely not virus since it doesn't have a cell mrmbeane and proper nucleus or anything, but do I remember the other possible answers?

    Biology Paper 1

Oestrogen. Do you remember the exact question about DNA? :/
  12. S

    Biology Paper 1

Oh yeah I got confused between nucleus and DNA. But bacterium has a loop of DNA as well...that's how it carries out its life processes. However, viruses aren't proper cells so its more lielt to have been bacteria, not virus

    Biology Paper 1

Estrogen builds up the uterine lining, progesterone maintains it. The level of estrogen decreases when the level if progesterone increases(& that always happens in the last phase)

    Biology Paper 1

What is wrong with you people? Virus DO NOT have a DNA...they just have a nucleic acid, no nucleoloid or nuclear membrane. Bacteria on the other hand have a circular lop of DNA
  15. S

    Biology Paper 1

But why would I take it that way? What was the exact question? The firsts colomb said sectetion...what was written in the 2nd one?

    Biology Paper 1

Q6 was bacteria, not virus cause of the presence of DNA. I don't think virus not bacteria was given as an option
  17. S

    Biology Paper 1

It was estrogen. Fsh was the curve which rose at the start of the period, while the uterine lining was still shedding. After the 7th day, estrogen level was supposed to increase but there was no curve depicting such a phenomenon

    Biology Paper 1

Oh. I thought it meant during the times when blood glucose is constant :/

    Biology Paper 1

Cuticle: impervious non cellular layer that prevents water loss. Insulin: secretion varies, amount in blood constant. Excretionco2: only muscles and diffusion. Hormone: oestrogen. 5: B. 6: can be bacteria, can't be virus
