    Guys, I think the marking scheme is wrong here. Check out Question 5. The third box, the marking key says E only. But wouldn't the ketone and aldeyde be reduced by H2(Hydrogen) It should've been C,D and E.

X was a tertiary Alcohol as it was placed with K2Cr2O7 and removed. They didn't say that orange to green color was observed. The product is the same...

    In our course we study that a base is that which accepts H+. A complex forms when AgCl is added to NH3. [Ag(NH3)2]CL NH3 is only acting as a ligand(donating lone pair) Hence 3 is totally wrong. 2 was correct as Oxidation state state of nitrogen is unchanged ( -3). 1 was correct, dont remember...

    Acha? Then we should have only calculated the Alcohols percentage, Oh wait the question demanded both. Taking Na out, please elaborate what we get? Exactly nothing. We had to include Na in our calculation!

    Diagonal relationship. Due to similar ionic radii, Be and Al have same chemical properties, Li and Mg also have diagonal relationship as-well.

    The other method is to start your paper from question 10 or 11 on wards as it takes your mind off the moles and you only have to attempt organic and inorganic and once you'll come back, you'll have alot of time for the remaining first 10 mcqs.
