    Chemistry: Post your doubts here!

Yeah, I did get the answer. If you want, I'll put up a picture of how I did it (if you're THAT fond of getting shocks ;) )

    Chemistry: Post your doubts here!

There's way too much Algebra involved in the question. Any one not good at Mathematics will almost certainly screw this up.

I can not believe it... question 11 took me half a page to do. -_____-

    Chemistry: Post your doubts here!

This is an incorrect way of explaining the question (and answer). This implies that hydrogen moles = hydrogen atoms which is NOT the case. The way to go about this question is to see how many C=C (carbon - carbon double bonds) are hydrogenated. The original compound contained 9 C=C. The...

    Chemistry: Post your doubts here!

If you read the question carefully enough, it states there's a cyclohexene ring and not a cyclohexane ring that the compound contains. I guess there's no easier way to do this than to draw a quick small structure structure and count the number of hydrogen we're getting. :|

This is a statistics (S1) question. http://www.xtremepapers.com/papers/CIE/Cambridge%20International%20A%20and%20AS%20Level/Mathematics%20(9709)/9709_w11_qp_61.pdf - Question 7 (iii). Obviously we need to find the P(X and Y), P(X) and P(Y) to find the answer. The marking scheme states P(X...

    4) Write the equations for all. (Remember water is NOT a gas at rtp) CH4 + 2O2 = CO2 + 2H2O (10+ 50 = 60 dm^3 left) C2H6 + 3.5O2 = 2CO2 + 3H2O (20 + 35 = 55 dm^3 left) C3H8 + 5O2 = 3CO2 + 4H2O (30 + 20 = 50 dm^3 left) C4H10 + 6.5O2 = 4CO2 + 5H2O (40 + 5 = 45 dm^3 left) Hence D. 8) It's D...

    12) You need to know the Boltzmann curve for this question. There's no other way of doing this question. When you increase the temperature the peak moves to the right indicating the average energy of the molecules has increased. Answer is B. 23) Most of us will require some sort of...

    Mathematics: Post your doubts here!

It's not right, I think. Since the equation is 3cos2x, the number of cycles from 0 to pi should be 1. I'm only getting half a cycle. :s

Q25) Let's say the length of the trumpet is L and the speed of sound in the horn is c. At the first frequency, only one note and one antinode are produced. This is 1/4 the wavelength of the sound wave. So L = 1/4 lambda and hence lambda is 4L. c = f x lambda = 75 x 4L = 300L In the next...

    Physics: Post your doubts here!

Whenever a force is given and you have to resolve it and you want to make a closed triangle make sure the given force is always the hypotenuse of your triangle. So to make the triangle in my diagram, drop a perpendicular from the arrowhead of the 25N on the dotted extension of T. This...
