    You just have to use the ratio here using the given data. Given that $25 becomes $62 after 8 years then; 25:500 = 62:X X = (500*62)/25 X = $1240

    The question itself states that the electrolysis is similar to cuso4 electrolysis. Therefore since H2 is liberated at the cathode in cuso4 electrolysis it must be the same for tin.
