Statistics 1: Post Your Doubts Here

ok draw a tree diagram. for first branch you do 0 and not zero. secod branch p>=4 and p<4. so you get 0.2*0.4 as the required branch which is the probability. for part 2 you say a=winning the first time which is 0.2. then do a g.p where 2nd term is 0.08,a is 0.2 to give r as 0.2 so p=0.4(0.2^n-1)

Statistics 1: Post Your Doubts Here

ok think of it another way.. a can only be 1 or 2 right? since there is only -2 and -1. but since it says 2a, there is no -4 on the table so the only answer is a=1

Statistics 1: Post Your Doubts Here

by doing trial and error, a=1 since a can only be 1 or 2 since onle -1 and -2 are presnt. 4i. 5bowlers,5 batsmen 1 wicket keeper: 10c5*9c5*2c1 4 bowlers, 6 batsmen, 1 wicket keeper: 10c6*9c4*2c1 4 bowlers, 5 batsmen 2 wicket keep: 9c2*10c5*2c2 total is 148176 iii. since there is only...

which number and part was that?

Statistics 1: Post Your Doubts Here

for 5ii an easier way to think of it is: since it is at least 320+d, it implies p(z>320+d) since it is at least. then this gives a z value of 0.23 when read off the table. then do 320+d-320/21.6=0.23 to give d to be 4.97 :)

    so how was physics p2?

but if we say that 10 ohm is for 1m, 4 ohm is for 40cm right? since resistivity and a is constant. the current in the wire was 1.2A( I=v/r) which is 12/10. then to work out v you do 4*1.2 which equals 4.8v (using v=ir)

    Physics P22

yea thats what i meant.. do u agree?
  11. babycry

    Physics P22

yeah but if u use proportionality u also get 4.8v. i dno tbh
  12. babycry

    Physics P22

3/5 since power in wire was 14.4 and power in resistors total was 24. 14.4/24=0.6=3/5

    Physics P22, How was it!

i dont think u needed to subtract. cos in f=kx the f represents the net force already.. hmm i dno

    Physics P22

    i got 0.6

    Physics P22

isnt the resistor voltage also 12v since it is parallel so both wires have 12v from the power supply. so i said (x/0.4) =(12/1) to give x to be 4.8v. this was the potentiometer formula. if u use proptions u also get 4.2v since the current in the wire was 1.2A.

    Physics P22

i got 4.8v accross cd.. and yeah n was something *10^13 or something like dat
