    since the question says greatest value..... differentiate the expression and equate to zero you will get x as 2 .... substitute this value into the expression and equate the the answer to 9 ...... k = 1

    guys ...in paper 13 , relative velocity was very easy . it was the same model question as question 9 june 2005 paper 2 and nov 2010 paper 22 question 10...

    i did paper 13 and relative velocity came out..... it was a plane question .... was easy. so learn june 2005 question 9 paper 2 and nov 2010 paper 22 question 9.... it was the same model question..... good luck !!!

    Go to http://www.edexcel-cie.com/edexcel-igcse-phycics-forces-and-motion . on the left hand side , you would find a list of all the chapters. select 'past papers and marking schemes'.
