    can someone explain this question?

I think you just calculated the energy that the water absorbs on the water panel. Since that's only 25%, you have to multiply your answer by 4. Do correct me if I'm wrong though.

    How was Math P1??????

Yeah, almost exactly the same with just the addition of one or two topics which aren't that hard anyway.

    Why was this thread closed?

http://www.xtremepapers.com/community/threads/physics-practical-33.14884/ ? No one was cheating... I actually didn't get what the moderator meant. People were just discussing what could possibly come in the paper and how we should tackle it.

Chem p33 grade thresholds? My paper went terribly :'(

Oh, I see. And yeah, I think you're right because my Chemistry teacher also said the paper wasn't that hard (though I dunno how he knows, but whatever). Still, judging by most of the posts in this thread and asking some of my friends who gave P33 the paper seemed to be a bit hard.

    How was Math P1??????

Lol, to be honest P1 isn't really that difficult and some people even manage to do entire papers in like 40 minutes because they've practice a ton, like those who took Add Maths and solved like 10 years of past papers. My paper took around 50 minutes with the exception of one question which took...

Chem p33 grade thresholds? My paper went terribly :'(

Whoa, I didn't know you were giving some AS exams this session. :o I didn't give the paper but from what I'm hearing the GT will probably be low.. maybe 25 or something? I hope P34 isn't as hard..

How was Chemistry paper 33?? What about grade threshold

30+30+50 should easily get you an A.

    Paper 12 maths

    Yes, it was this. :)

    Paper 12 maths

I don't exactly remember but I think OA was twice the magnitude of one of the vectors given in the question, and OB was thrice the magnitude of the other vector provided in the question. The final answer was something like 1/√61 (-5i + 6j).

    How was Math P1??????

First part of the question was pretty easy because first term = sum of the first term so you just had to plug 1 into the equation they provided. Then you could have found out d by figuring out Sn1, Sn2, Sn3 and figuring out the common difference between their sums. Didn't need an equation or...

    Paper 12 maths

    Yeah, it was definitely 10a^2 - 160 = 90, then you get a as +5. There were 2 coefficients of X, one was 5C2 * a^2 but I can't remember the other.

    Paper 12 maths

    Here's the solution to it, IIRC: ar = a - 9, and from this we get r = (a - 9) / a ar^2 = 30 a [(a-9) / a ]^2 + (a - 9) = 30 Solve for A to get the answer.

HOW WAS CHEM P12 2012 ? WHAT ABOUT GT OF THIS PAPER?

We can't discuss the contents of the paper until 24 hours have passed. But overall it wasn't that hard, though organic was a bit harder than previous years IMO. Still, GT should be something like 30-31. There's no way it will be over 33, even the easiest papers had a GT of about 32.
  14. L

    how did chem p12 go?

Yeah, same here. Organic was comparatively harder than previous years but nevertheless a good paper. GT for A should probably be like 30 or something.

    How was Math P1??????

My paper went good, but personally I think the paper was tougher compared to previous years. It took me a while to solve the entire paper, while I used to easily solve most P1 past papers.

    Paper 12 maths

My paper went very good, I'm hoping for something in the 70s if not full (I hate how elitist that sounds but meh :\) but yeah, I agree that the paper was quite tough and the grade threshold will definitely be low (probably 58-60 maybe).

Math p12 tomorrow (Best of luck and comment after exam!!!)

The paper hasn't started yet, it'll start in 3 hours or so.

    Chemistry: Post your doubts here!

Split the ester by drawing a straight line through the middle of O2 and you will get these 2 compounds: C2H5C & CH3 The carbon without the hydrogen (first one) will be the acid and the other one will be the alcohol. So your alcohol is CH3OH and the acid is C2H5CO2H. Since you boiled with aq...

    Chemistry: Post your doubts here!

If 1 mole of a monomer is polymerized and you obtained the same number of moles of a polymer, then technically... you got the same thing right? So 1 can't be a polymer. 2 and 3 are just random numbers given but they can be polymers because they're not the same # of moles as the monomer. So C...
