    Chemistry MCQ's help!

Here. Also, it's an A-level question, most of us here are O-level students so you should post your A-level queries here. Also, can someone please help me with MCQs 14, 31 and 36 in this paper?

need help with visual c++. computing 9691

It's a function. You basically called it from your main routine and it will call itself again in the function for recursion. It calculates the factorial using the formula n! = n(n-1)! (which is why I personally found it confusing at first, it would be easier writing an algorithm using n x (n-1)...

need help with visual c++. computing 9691

It's a recursive loop. First the loop checks if the number is 0 or 1, if so it'll just return 1 because 0! and 1! are 1. Otherwise it will continue looping through the function until it multiples the number with the preceding ones. I don't know much about recursive loops either, and I would just...

    easiest subjects...???

Maths and computers (and to some extent English) are easy for me. If I was to choose from favorite subjects, it'd be add-maths because it's interesting even though it's a little bit tricky. Also, worst subject would undoubtedly be pak studies and I'm glad I'm done with it! :P

    incorrect answer in ER??

The answer looks fine to me. Look at the CRO trace and notice that it takes 2 divisions for the pulses to be sent and reflected back from the sea-bed. So that means it takes one division to reach the sea bed. The answer should be 0.1s.

Maths, Addmaths and Statistics: Post your doubts here!

Re: O'level Maths, Addmaths and Statistics help available he Some moderator should sticky this thread! Also, if no one has any problems I think I might make a thread like this for physics and chemistry.

    Physics

I don't think you'll find any Physics past papers before 2001-02 online. Your best bet would be to check in a book store near your home and ask if they have O-level physics past paper books. The past paper books usually have past paper books from like 1991 onwards.

    Maths questions thread

Oh... I see. Yeah, after your explanation and me going through hamidali's solution again I think I got it. It's made my concepts about this very clear and I just managed to do a similar question (June 2009 P1 Q9) without any problems. :)

Thanks man.. you're a genius. :) I understood the first 4 parts very well but I'm still having problems with (v), it's quite confusing. A little explanation on that would be nice. :)

Yeah, good point. I'd appreciate it if someone could help me solve question 10 of this paper (Add Maths June 2008), it's extremely confusing. :\

    Maths questions thread

We should have a questions thread like this for other subjects too and have them stickied so that people don't have to make a topic for every question.

    Physics MCQ, June 2002

hamidali391 explained it pretty well. Even if there was a leakage you can't be sure that only house A will be affected. Always go with the option you are most sure of. :) Also, I have a question of my own (I didn't want to make a new thread). Why is the answer of Q26 in this paper not A?

    Physics MCQ, June 2002

Yeah, I hope you read the question carefully because it looks pretty straightforward. :P
