    Maths D 22

It's written in the examiner tips that answers by accurate drawing (calculate) will not be accepted. Khair, it doesn't make a difference.

Yeah, I know, it is allowed. In fact, you can use any proper method you want. It will be marked, this is because the examiners are experienced Masters in Maths and know about all the formulas, you just need to apply the method correctly and get the right answer. Its use is discouraged because...

INSHA ALLAH. I'm not expecting in it because some people get 100% in it which is quite difficult.

    BC = Underroot (1800^2-1500^2) = 995 m.

    I disagree.

    Maths D 22

But that's what Calculate means. :p

    Maths D 22

It was 990 and there is a big difference b/w 990 and 975 so I used Pythagoras. Anyways, both should be correct.

    Maths D 22

    How 960 using Pythagoras?
  13. Saad Mughal

    Maths D 22

Didn't know so I didn't take the risk. What answer were you getting?
  14. Saad Mughal

    Maths D 22

Actually no. We had to use Pythagoras. They said CALCULATE the length which means (according to the key words page) that answers by accurate drawing will not be accepted.

Obviously when x=1, x-1 = 0 Just subtract one from both sides, Since 1 is a factor of the polynomial, it means that x=1, further, x-1 = 0, x-2=0, x-k=0. Since, y=f(x)=0, you can easily say (x-1)(x-2)(x-k)=0.

Maths, Addmaths and Statistics: Post your doubts here!

Look, by (x-1)(x-2)(x-k) = 0, It means that, x=1 x=2 x=k Respectively, if you get this, then, you can change it back. x-1 = 0 x-2 = 0 x-k = 0 These three are zero so their multiples will also be 0. So, (x-1)(x-2)(x-k) = 0 These are kinda the basics of algebraic factorization that we learned in...
