    two people want to sit on opposite side. They can do this in 2P2 ways or 2! There are 4 seats to choose from or in other word there are 4C1 seats the first person can choose to sit on one seat of the opposite side & 4C1 choices for the second person who wishes to sit on the opposite side...

    Well, I cant be 100 % sure here, but here's what I did. Greatest value of cosine is 1. You will get that when 1/2(theta) is 360 greatest value of sin is also 1. You will get that when 1/2(theta) is 90 Therefore plugging in 1 will give you 7 plus 5 plus 12 which is 24 Now 24 is the greatest value...
