    by state i meant solid, liquid and gas. hcl and H2SO4 only conduct when dissolved in water (aq) which was not in the question.

    It is a covalent compund which means it does not conduct electricity in any state except when dissolved in water.

    I don't think that the lens can be moved because in the question they said that the lens was fixed at 15cm.As for the second part I thino you are correct.

    move the screen forward or backward until you get a focused image , move the object upwards until image is formed on the centre of the screen .

    That's true. I did well in this question and wrote a good 2 pages on it. However, you can not deny the fact that it was based on evaluation and not on knowledge.

    Im a little confused. isnt the 10 mark question supposed to be based on knowledge. How come the question " how can the lives of caliphs be a role model for leaders today" came as it is clearly an evaluative question and therfore should have come in part b.
