    These are the layers of fruits. The layer in contact with the seed is call the endocarp. The layer after that is called the mesocarp. The outermost layer is called the exoxarp. The 3 together is known as the pericarp. :) ---

    the small pointed thing in the center is the embryonic axis, that is the upper part will be the radicle and the lower part will be the plumule. And pericarp is the fruit wall and has nothing 3 do with the seed.
