I think it means, that circuit is paralell, when the second component is attach such that the wire connected to the main circuit, encloses the component in that circuit....

Not least.... zero It takes single path when there is ZERO (negligible) resistance in one of the path. If two paths have resistance, one having lower, and other higher, current will flow through both, and magnitude of current will be more in the path which have low resistance... If we were...

Look Salman, When there is zero resistance in one path, and resistance in other, the current go only through low resistance path, Follow the wire from positive terminal... After it have passed the resistor, there there is zero resistance if it go through the middle wire, whilr there would be...

Woo hoo.. I think I finally understood the main thing... I got how it is zero resistance. but one thing still: Why is it not paralell? Can you explain explicitly the bolded part?

I follow you abcde.. You mention current will flow where resistance is zero. If both path have resistance, it will flow through both, current being larger in the one with lesser resistance.. But here at the junction, if current just goes through one resisitor, there is 3 ohms resistance If...

Maths, Addmaths and Statistics: Post your doubts here!

I have a little query in Add.Maths derivative and integration. Here is the trouble: IN a question, I first find derivative of y = x √(2x + 15) The answer to it is: y= 3(x+5) / √(2x+15) NOw in next part we have to integrate (x+5) / √(2x+15) by comparing the previous answer... Now what I...

Thank you veeryy much... But still one question: The current would go through path of least resistance, right? So how does paralell circuit exist? Because current goes through both pathways in it..

    Something Big is coming...

8 and a half, but I dont think we should be specific about time remaining, I assure you all, that the 'Big Thing' would be stretched for about half an hour, to 1 hour, after countdown is over... Reason: Planet Master couldnt synch the timer exactly. :P

Maths, Addmaths and Statistics: Post your doubts here!

    Its simple, as scouser said, break it down to its factors... 168= 3x2^3x7 =2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 7 now when we multiply it by n, the number becomes a square number, it should be squared when you are able to pair up two factors: (2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 7) multiplies by (2 x 3 x 7) n = (2 x 3 x 7) n = 42

Take average of both the values.. 5/9 + 8/9 ...2 = 13/18 You can also mentally solve it as: 5/9 and 8/9 the mid value between 5 and 8 is 6.5, therefore: 6.5/9 =13/18
