Question about getting an A* in Mathematics
I don't know my component grades but I got an A in the M/J 12 (AS) (P12+42). Let's consider the worst situation...I got a borderline A or low A. Grade thresholds for an A were 58/75 (p1) 31/50 9(p4). Inverse Functions question.
F(x) = 2x+1 f(g)= x^2 - 2 find an expression for f-1 g(x) so the inverse of f is y=2x+1 -> (y-1)/2 =x -> y= (x-1)/2 then you punch in the value of g ((x^2 - 2)-1)/2=y (x^2 - 3)/2 = f-1g(x) but the mark scheme says F-1(x)= 1/(2(x-1) and f-1g(x) = 1/(2(x^2 - 3)) How? -

Which of the following has dipole-dipole interactions between its molecules, but no hydrogen bonding? A Methane, CH4 B Methanol, CH3OH C Ammonia, NH3 D Hydrogen iodide, HI the answer is D how can it be D? I know the 2 have permanent dipoles and form Hydrogen bonds . A has no dipole. but how is... -
