u just need to know that electrodes are made of graphite and the the anode is a positive electrode and cathode is a negative electrode. metals such as sodium potassium etc. are attracted to the cathode the nonmetals such as chlorine and oygen are attrated to the anode and that it is attrated in for of bubbles that is all u need to know for paper 6 electrolysis :)

thanks buddy :D so anode = Positive, Cathode = Negative. Metals attract to cathode (negative) , Non-metals gets attracted to Anode (positive) i didn't get the last part.. bubbles?

it ay ask u wat an u observe on the anode if eg. sodium chloride is electrolyised u say bubbles because chlorine will be attracted to the anode and chlorine is a gas so it will ascend to the anode in a bubble form got it?(y)
