Hi, I'm having trouble in solving june 09 paper 3 maths A2 number 6, the markscheme isn't helpful at all and only states mark is given for correct answer only
If anyone can show how to solve this question or if there is some sort of model answer for A2 maths paper 3 I would really really appreciate it :S :|

Are you talking about May/June 2009 Paper 3 Question 6 Part ii?

Assuming its May/June 2009 Paper 3 Question 6 Part(ii),
use the equation of tangent:
y - y1 = m (x - x1)
where,
m = dy/dx
y1 = a.sin³t
x1 = a.cos³t

yes that's the question i want, thank you, appreciate it, i seem to have a weakness with parametric equations, do you know any good sites to explain this? :S
