Q. What is the differrence between a vapour and a gas?

To put it simple, a vapour in its natural state is a solid/liquid at room temperature, but a gas at room temperature would still be a gas (example: steam is a vapour but nitrogen is a gas).

water in gas form is known as steam there are different words for different states of water.
