I gave the AS requirement for a subject in June
2012 session. I got an A. Now, I've registered for
the A2 part of that subject with the carry forward
option. I no longer wish to give the A2 part of
the examination. If I'm absent on the date of the
examination, will my overall grade for that
subject be affected, to be more specific will the
A I got in AS now be a much lower grade because I
did not give the A2 part? or will the A2 part be
taken out of consideration due to my absence and
only the AS part will show on the statement of
result?

Thank you.

In June 2012 session, I decided not to do chemistry and math AS, so I didn't appear on any of the exam days for those subjects. They didn't give me a mark on my statement of result and just wrote "no result available" and on my original statement they didn't bother putting math and chem at all. This is for AS and not for A2, so I don't know if they'll do the same thing. Contact your center and ask.
