Biology A* and English (as a Second Language) A*

Here are the A* Grades for the previous year, so what you should be aiming for:


- Literature (English) (0486) : 74%+
- English (First Language) (0500): 71%+


If you want anymore ask and I will add.

ARE you sure???? Could you give a break down on each of those. My teachers have been saying 90%+ is A*

Yes it is true I will give a breakdown later but to be safe this is what you should be aiming for:

17/25 per question for A
21/25 per question for A*

for literature

35/50 for A
41/50 for A*

for language

The marking for English is very strict and that is why last year the boundary was very low, only 66% for A.

Paper 2 (Reading and Writing) : Maximum Mark: 90 Minimum Mark for A: 67
Paper 2 counts 70%
Paper 4 (Listening Comprehension): Maximum Mark:36 Minimum Mark for A: 31
Paper 4 counts 30%
Paper 5(Oral):Maximum Mark 30 Minimum Mark for 1: 26 (no grading but in numbers 1,3,5)
Don't know how much it counts

In total Maximum Total Mark is 200 Minimum Mark for A*: 172

I want to estimate that how much I will get...as my paper 2 was bad so I want to see is there any chance of getting A*

Here you go:
Component 1:
A = 68/100
B= 61/100

Component 2:
A = 66/80
B = 56/80

Component 3:
A = 69/80
B = 61/80

A* = 75+76+77 = 228/260 = 88%

Bro its 228 out of 300 not 260
