Relax dude, just do it the normal way. I did it the normal way using the formula and got the right answer. So, just do it using the formula.

How did you do it, bro? I also did it my way, where i wouldn't have multiplied mass of beta with 2. Answer comes different if i don't. :/

How is n/N=Na (avogadro constant) ?

Okay so lets define the terms n and N .
n is the number of moles of the substance.
N is the number total gas molecules.

If u have taken chemistry or even had it in O Levels u would know this formula .
Number of molecules = moles * Avogadros constant

So make Avogadros constant the subject and u get that n/N .

When they de-excite , photons are emitted in all direction, rather than the original path of white light, so some wavelengths of light are missed. So the missing wavelengths from the absorption spectrum are the ones present in the emission spectrum.

How will i explain it when they ask us about discrete energy levels? I know that photons with certain energies are emitted and the energy difference corresponds to the energy of a particular photon but how will i explain it all? I dont know how to phrase my answer

Alpha particles have electrons buddy. Remember alpha particles have a nuclen no of 4 and 2 protons?

I know I know i was trying to have some fun but i ended up screwing my post so it now sounds as if im a total and complete idiot who doesnt know what an alpha particle is :p :p
