Study the experiments in your text book. Reading is a must but chapters like Transport in Plants and Humans, food tests, Support and locomotion, pollination in plants (along with the diagrams) are pretty important and do solve as many past papers as you can, you can check out this thread, its pretty cool

So remember that starch is a complex molecule, which makes it difficult to pass through the membrane but, when its broken down into its simpler components, i.e, glucose molecules, then the latter can pass through. ^^
