okies u had 2 take 10cm3 of previous sol u made and 10cm3 of water 2 halv da conc as in u take 10cm3 of 5% sol in petri dish and 10cm3 of distilled water n u ve 2.5% sol
got it??!

You use the formula C1V1=C2V2.....

So for eg if u want to make 2.5% sol from 5 % solution and the total volume has to be 10cm3, then:

(5)x(V1)= (2.5) x (10)

V1 that u get thru this eq is 5cm3! What this means is that u take 5cm3 of 5% and the rest distilled water to make the total volume upto 10cm3.....
