i got magnification x0.8
i dnt know if its gOod but some pupils drew it the same size
this is quite small and i dont think this much would be accepted !
i got my magnification 1.99 x

Firstly,i drew the same central part and labelled the radical correctly but didnt labelled the stem part correctly :(
how many marks would be deducted :(

SECONDLY, i cant believe my magnification was same 1.99
But the problem is i forgot to put "X" after the value would mark be deducted ? :(

the diagram CIE gave for the exam had a magnification of 0.75x meanin the real seed would have been actually bigger. Also, we were suppose to find the real side of the part we were suppose to draw from the diagram! i got 31mm as in the diagram! so...

0.75 = x/31

so x = 23.25

then find the size of your drawing and divide it by 23.25

thats for 4 marks

this part develops into stem ------>
this part develops into root ------->

would i loose marks?

@ mimmi: No marks will be deducted. ;)

Edit>> @ rose: 1 mark will be lost since you haven't precised which part would be the stem.

For the magnification, mine was ' X 1.1667 times'
and the reason why the graph was lower at 14 00, i wrote that it was due to high humidity.

I drew the same thing!!.. But they are telling that we need to draw the smallest one???

That part is supposed to be the cotyledons huh?

I'm 100% sure that small thing is air space between two cotyledons as it is a cross section of the seed =S

@ mimmi: I guess you're right 'cause the seedling cannot be that small and besides the radicle was already there in the image.

If however I'm wrong, then what is the thing that I'm mistaking for the radicle? :S

There is no other feature in the small thing =S

And the biggest thing looks like the fruit to me
