variation in organism ma arise duee to mutation. crossing different varieties of plants and animals produces even more variations in the offspring. However, competition for fiid, etc.. occurs among th different varieties of organism. nature selects those varieties that are are more competetive, more resistant to diseases and better adapted to changes in the environment, to survive and reproduce their kind. the other varieties are susceeptible to diseases, etc..may perish. this process is called natural selection.

Natural selection is the process which results in the best adapted organisms in a population surviving to pass on more on their genes to the next generation.

Nature selects the varieties that are more competitive , more resistant to diseases and better adapted to changes in the environment, to survive and reproduce their kind. the other varities may perish. this process is called natural selection.
