You should go for PC because:
-90% of new games released are also released on PC
-It can you used for many other things
-It doesnt grow old, just need some minor modifications
-Easy to care for

But if you only want a console, then you should go for Xbox 360, Although I personally like Sony more, Xbox is better then PS3 due to many reasons.
