5 men do it in x days
6 men do it in (x - 8) days
using inverse proportion ,
5x = 6(x - 8)
5x = 6x - 48
x = 48
--------------------------------------------------------
5 men do it in x days
(5 + m) men do it in (x - 28) days
using inverse proportion,
5x = (5 + m) (x - 28)
Substitute x = 48
240 = (5 + m) (20)
12 = (5 + m)
m = 7
7 additional men needed. (7 + 5 = 13 men in total)
