There are many unnecessary and very small topics in this book. Is it right to leave them out as they have little or no chance to appear in the CIE?

Thank you for your response. There haven’t been any changes so far either. I appreciate your help.I definitely left out Campaigns of Hazrat Abubakar but that's about the only thing I left. It's up to you really and try going over the IGCSE islamiyat syllabus, decide for yourself if some things fit into the pointers given.
Also I gave Islamiyat in MJ 2016, don't know if there have been any changes so far!
Also, the 2nd question in paper sometimes asks you to tell about the ahadis which talk about different conducts, for example,”Write about the ahadis which give information about the individual conduct of Muslims.” /10 . Can you please tell me these categories of ahadis and which ahadis are included in them?I definitely left out Campaigns of Hazrat Abubakar but that's about the only thing I left. Thank you so muchDon't remember much about that now but its a very general question tho, can be any ahadith in the syllabus. Just go and see which ones seem to be talking about muslims and their conduct in daily lives
For example, "May God show mercy to a man who is kindly when he sells, when he buys, and when he demands his money back"
So according to this ahadith, all financial dealings should be amicable and the seller needs to adopt a professional attitude towards all his customers. Similarly, this hadith prohibits the idea of deceiving anybody or trying to cheat a customer out of their money by offering inferior products. You can even quote how Hazrat Muhammad was fair with all buyers in his trade business and that is an ideal model for us.
Also, You should try and search for some ahadith which talk about these kind of things (e.g conduct with parents, with peers, workplace life, with wives etc)
Learn them and try to write an answer on these lines. After this you are set to learn this composition as it is.
Good Luck and sorry for replying so late, medical school got me working 24/7
