CELL DIVISION!!

SALAM EVERYONE.
in my book it says that cytokinesis is invoved by the formation of cell wall b/w 2 nuclei OF THE PLANT CELL.
cenrioles are involved in the nuclear division, but as we did in the first chapter, there are no centrioles in the plant cell so how come nuclear divison and formation of call wall between 2 nuclei??????

Our teacher said that since centioles r absent in plants...which in animals r used for producing spindle fibres .....they will still be produced in plants without centrioles but from sum other way...though she didnt say anything abt what other way!!

For cytokenesis cell membrane constricts in animals but for plants a cell plate is formed!!

In plant cells, their are no Appearant organisers of mitotic spindles, but spindle fibre is formed. Cells are thought to contain smaller MTOCs that are not easily visible even with an electron microscope but that's not part of yur syllabus...

Cytokinesis in plantcells, which have cell walls, is markedlydifferent.
TIlere is no cleavage furrow. Instead, during telophase, vesicles
derived from the Golgi apparatus move along microtubules to
the middle of the cell, where they coalesce, producing a cell plate
. Cell wall materials carried in the vesicles collect in
the cell plate as it grows. The cell plate enlarges until its surrounding
membrane fuses with the plasma membrane along the
perimeter ofthe cell. Two daughter cells result, each with its own
plasma membrane.
