They say that we must use B or HB. I think there isn't much difference between B and 2B. So, there shouldn't be any problem.

2B pencils are fairly dark so it shouldn't be an issue. The worst case scenario is that your paper won't be read by the machine, in which case it will be done manually but you won't be penalised at all.
