well can sumbody tell me y is the atomisation energy of fluorine less...when the general trend is decreasing atomisation energy down the group??????????

What Hassam has posted is somewhat accurate. The bond is weak due to the electronic cloud repulsion. Keep in mind in nature/science there are always some anamolies ;)

Yeah I agree with that. Some of the strength of the F-F bond can be compensated by the large repulsion between the lone pairs.
