When the concentration of a
product
is decreased, the
reaction will have a greater tendency to
“go” in the forward directi
on. This is reflected in a
greater (more positive) cell potential.

Bhai he decreased the concentration of reactants not product o_O
If you 're talking about 42 :O

dude the electrode potential then was positive so it decreased that means in opposite direction it was made more NEGATIVE so if the forward is negative it will be made more POSITIVE
It doesn't make sense bro!
Simply, when the concentration of the reactants decrease in an equilibrium reaction so the reaction follows backward, and if the reaction in the equation like
X+ + 1e====> X, the E^ value must decrease that is it becomes more negative.

What was in question, he told us that E^ for X+/X = -0.03 (I dont remember the exact figure)
so what would be the value when concentration is 1*10-4 mol/dm3. which means the concentration is less than 1 mol/dm3. so this value -0.31 would be more negative.

As -0.03 was Eo the STANDARD value (means at standard condition i-e 1mol/dm3)

what were two reactions in organic chemistry question
one was electrophillic substitution wat was other ??
