www.chemguide.co.uk This electron arrangement thing is a bit tricky, I could nt understand at first when my teacher explained it to me but when I read the topic in this site this thing became a piece of cake. So I would recommend u to go through the contents of this site! Best of luck. Don't forget to click the like button if this site helps u. :D

s-orbital can contain a max of 2 electrons. p-orbital contains a max of 6 (spread out into 2px, 2py and 2pz p-orbitals) and the d-orbital contains a max of 10. First you fill up the s-orbital, then the p-orbital and finally the d-orbital, however, this rule does change. Note that the 1st quantum level contains only an s-orbital. e.g. 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 4s2 3d10 note in that example, when you introduce the d-orbital, the quantum level above the current one's s-orbital comes first, and THEN that level's d-orbital. This rule applies to all levels onward. There are two exceptions to this rule though, like the arrangement of Copper and Chromium.
