I need an explanation as to why the general formula for carboxylic acids, CnH2n+1COOH does not work in this place. Why 3 and 6 and not 3 and 7? The exact value is approximately 6.8, if I'm not wrong. Explanations someone?

i think 6.8... is the value...when we round off it can b 7.....we get 132 if we use 6 n 3...i also wonder why the heck dat happnd
