1. CH2=CHCH2OH + KMNO4 dilute cold = HOCH2CH(OH)CH2OH? or does the original OH group get oxidised
2. HOOCCOOH + Kmno4 hot = CH3COOH?
3. HCOOH + Kmno4 hot = co2 and h2o so no organic products?

1 is correct. the cold dilute would only break the C=C and add OH bond.
I don't think you can oxidize a Carboxylic Acid further At least not according to the AS syllabus anyway since I haven't read/heard about it.
