These are some important notes, hope they'd help, somehow :) :
* when heating copper nitrate, a brown gas is formed (NO2), and a blue solid changes to a black solid (copper).
* Hydroxides and Carbonates of potassium and sodium don't react when heated and don't dissociate.
* Zinc only reacts when water in the presence of HEAT & STEAM.
Magnesium only reacts with cold water when it's a powder.
* Gaseous elements in unpolluted air: HELIUM (He), ARGON (Ar).
Gaseous compounds in unpolluted air: WATER VAPOUR (H2O), CARBON MONOXIDE (CO)
* memorize uses of polymers
* carboxylic acid + alcohol = ester
* triester + alkali = soap + glycerol
* when listing properties of group I (alkalis), always compare it with other metals (low density/ low melting pt compared with most metals).
* You make ammonia in the lab by heating an ammonium compound with a strong base.
* Properties of ammonia.
* Properties/uses of SO2 and Sulpher
* Functions of H2 in Haber Process: 1) used as a fuel 2) source of H2 for main reaction.
* Structure, properties, uses of graphite.
* Sources of sulpher: volcanoes/ natural gas
* Sources of SO2: sulpher-contaminated fossil fuels in power stations.

Good Luuuckkk :D
