Guys how do we draw successive ionisation energy graphs :L please help!

oh, and, how do we know oxidation states of ions such as V3+?

whyyy ?

depends on the molecule next to it
hydrogen is usually +1
oxygen is -2
etc (i dont remember the rest).. know the exceptions as well
and then in the for example : (MO)^-3 : in this case the whole molecule is raised to -2 , so you need to get the total of both-2
O stands for oxygen , which is always -2 so M (unknown element ) ===> M+(-2) = -3 , so M is -1 !
its not always this case at times the molecule is raised to no power , so you should use the total as 0 !
get it ?
