yeah the equation was y=4x+24
and the 2nd last equation was y=4x+8
and the distance was 10 units...........

yep zinc.. could be magnesium also ..

But in the qtion we are preparing for gas, so i think zinc is a better choice because as it react with dl HCL it will form hydrogen gas.

anyways: why was the zinc reweighed?
why was there a reduction in the mass of ZnO

It's reweighed in order to improve realibilty. Reduce in weigh because some of it evaporate to the air and dissolve in the solution during the process.
